Hi Everyone;

As you can see, ownership of Silver Mountain has changed hands again, and hopefully for the last time. Some of you may remember me from old wolf role plays such as Great Ebony Realm, Ora...

Signature Name: Mwitu Jabari (Name meaning: Wild Brave)

Age: 1 year, 9 months.

Gender: Female

Species: Mexican wolf / Red wolf

Dimensions:
Length: 4.3 ft
Height: 2.4 ft
Weight: 65 lbs

Description: Mwitu is a beautiful she-wolf, her delicate frame and soft fur couple with her slender muzzle and sleek tail. A bright russet covers Mwitu's face with a darker stripe that traces down her forehead to the tip of her nose. The insides of Mwitu's ears are brilliant white, matching her belly and chin as the snowy flash descends along her underbelly. The very arch of her back and all along her spine is made up of mixed grays that meld neatly into fox-red before her fur turns white once more at her belly. Twin glinting pools of blue/grey make up her eyes and they always seem to be filled with mirth.

Kin: Fisi (Name meaning: Hyena) and Mbwa (Name meaning: Dog) are her brothers, her parents are Nyati (Father, name meaning: African buffalo) and Chui (Mother, name meaning: Leopard).

Personality: Hardily the quiet type Mwitu is a loud and bubbly she-wolf with a wry sense of humor and an optimistic skip in her step, but of course all light must have a dark, she is stubborn, occationally dishonest and she holds on to an immovable fear of humans that rivals many, having constant nightmares over them that are hard to push aside. One of the only things that keeps Mwitu's mind free of humans is running, swift and silent, the wind erases scars and the rythm of paw to ground matches her beating heart to bring her peace of mind. One of Mwitu's talents is the art of stalking, she found it amusing in her puphood to creep up on her skittish brother Fisi and became quite the expert at hunting the poor male from a distance only to leap out at him accompanied by raucous laughter as he yelped and often fell over. The slender she-wolf would roll around on the ground whenever this happened as is her habit when amused. Her laugh and elegant movements are the source of many troubles for her though males.

History: Mwitu, as suggested by her name, is not a wolf from around the silver mountain area or any area remotely close. Mwitu was born, along with her brothers, in a human shelter that was far from any dangers. Outside the shelter was an enclosure and a fence that bordered Mwitu's world. Occasionally a strange creature that walked on two legs would come, dragging in a dead dear for the family. The creature, a man of Kenyan decent, named each wolf and spoke to them until the names stuck. The project Mwitu was unknowingly a part of was one of conservation, her parents had met in another enclosure and when Chui had fallen pregnant the pair had been moved and introduced to harsher conditions than before to prepare them for what was to come.

Soon after Mwitu and her brothers were old enough the pack was released into the wild, unsure of what to do they had at first hovered around their release point and tried to track their care-takers down again but to no avail, they were alone, but united as a pack. However the controlled environment of their upbringing and their elusiveness that proved too much for the humans who tried to watch over them caused the small pack of five to tear and fray as food supplies grew short and shelter was hard to come by as the winter snows broke and engulfed them all in a white blanket.

Some miracle kept the pack loyal to one another and they put aside their arguments to huddle close in the blizzards that followed in Mwitu's first winter. The conservation project they had been in had been there for a reason though, the area was heavily hunted. As spring broke the life of Mwitu's pack became fraught with terrified flights from helicopters and low flying planes armed with maniacal gun-hunters. Traps that the pack had never come across in their huddled and still winter state became evident all too soon as Nyati had his front paw caught, permanently maiming him after his desperate family dug the trap from the ground to free him.

Life was a trial and the hunters drew closer with each step, finally the pack decided to move north, to the distant mountains where it seemed no hunter would venture. Not long after the pack set off on their journey were they ambushed by a group of trappers who had seen the wolves scat and prints in the melting snow of spring. The pack scattered as they attempted to escape and Mwitu was left alone and terrified as she heard gunshots in the distance and fled. She dared not howl for fear of drawing attention to herself and padded on silently with her utmost stealth, hoping that when she reached the distant mountains of safety she would be reunited with her family once more.
