Here is the list of the species we currently accept on Silver Mountain Wolves. Your wolf may either be a purebred or a mix of any of the species below, however it must be listed below. Please remember females are smaller than males so to have a female at the maximum end of the scale would probably not be accepted. Also, the maximum height and minimum weight together are not going to work, and visa versa, so please size your wolf proportionately.

Character Guidelines
Markings & Color
General
Again, this is a realistic wolf rpg site. No odd colors, no wings, jewelery, etc.
Eye Color
There is a small exception on eye color. Such as greens and blues, lighter and brighter colors. The more bright and unusual colors are however, rare. There is also a tolerance in slight unusual markings. Anything not normally found in the wild is excluded. (Means no green fur or blue tails, etc.)
Fur Colors
Wolves come in various colors and shades. We welcome and allow any variation found naturally in the wild. (All black wolves, white wolves, multi-grey colors, etc.) Wolves from different regions may also have different tints to them (such as the Mexican wolf will have a hint of red or reddish brown. Tundra wolves are generally white, grey or 'silver' in appearance.) The Wolf Species list can also help you determine a good color description of your wolf's coat.
Markings
Odd markings are also acceptable. (These being for example, unusual darker markings on a body or lighter coloring on fur, etc.). An all white wolf with a small patch of black on its shoulder. However 'object' markings (such as stars, circles, and any tribal shapes) are not allowed.
Fighting
General No killing other characters without permission. No god moding or power playing. The only exception is if the other person you are roleplaying with gives you permission. In which case please put in an OOC note so our moderators/admins wont think your breaking a rule. Pups can be slightly god moded and power played by their parents until the age of 3 months.
Rank Challenging
If you would like to challenge for a rank, you will need to PM the account of the wolf you are challenging. You will also need to post a thread that clearly states what rank you are challenging for. This thread will also need to be in the appropriate area. (Obviously the pack territory). The other person has 3 days to reply to this thread or the rank is given to the challenger. Only on the exception of an absence note, etc., from the 'challengee' will the fight then be postponed until both rivals are able and available for the fight.
Territory Claiming
Territory claiming is not allowed for lone wolves unless administration gives permission otherwise.
For Other Reasons
You may fight anyone for a mate or over an argument IC, etc.
Mating
General
When your wolf and another becomes mates please fill out the 'mate' status located on your profile edit page. Simply place the name of your wolf's mate there.
If you wish to have pups please PM Diana with the details (the names of the characters who are going to mate). And depending on the activeness of the site, you may or may not be approved until further notice. Mating and birthing threads should not be explicit. Pups will be adopted by other members to roleplay. Pups may be power played until the age of 3 months. Additional information on such will be posted in the adoptions forum as well as the updates and announcements forum.
Courting Courting usually begins in late summer. This is the time for the male or female wolves who had their eye on another wolf to try and spark up a relationship for the coming mating season for pups!
Mating
Mating is in fall. Females go into estrus for 5-14 days at any point in time during this season. This is the ONLY time for a whole year the females will be able to become pregnant.
Birthing
Pups are born in the springtime and even early summer at the latest.
